Racing Introduction
All are welcome ! Racing at the Aldershot Model Car Club is open to everyone - members and guests (non-members).
Here at Aldershot we race a number of 1/10th scale on-road classes of car - both Electric and IC. Club Race meetings are normally held on the first and third Sunday of each month. Everyone racing at a club meeting is automatically awarded points in the current club championship. There are 2 championships per year each consisting of normally 12 rounds. Each class of racing has it's own championship points table and the top three drivers in each class are awarded a trophy at the end of the year. Aldershot also plays host to a number of National meetings during the year. We encourage anyone to come and race either at the Club meetings or at the National meetings. We believe R/C car racing should be fun for everyone who takes part. Racing can get very competitive but we try to ensure that everyone racing at the club - both novice and experienced - is treated fairly and with respect at all times. One of the more unique features of the club is that the race track is open 7 days a week for practice. All members are entilted to use the track for practice on most days throughout the year. Days where the track is not available can be found in the race calendar. Sorry, but Non-Members are not allowed to use the track other than on race days. Practise time is normally available in the morning on race days.
